Vertical Privilege Escalation to Admin Endpoints

vertical-privesc-admin is a critical severity check in the web category, written in python. Its source is templates/web/auth-bypass/vertical-privesc-admin.py in cert-x-gen-templates.

Tests whether a low-privilege authenticated session can access admin-only endpoints. Probes a curated list of admin paths with the supplied auth token, checking for 200 responses that reveal admin functionality or data.
